Description of Action |
|
The Trails End site was recently used for staging and stockpiling of materials related to the Airport Expansion Project. The Trails End site is located in unincorporated Broward County at the SW corner of Griffin Road and US 1 and is owned by Broward County. Broward County Aviation Department (BCAD) contractors stockpiled dirt and debris at the Trails End site that was removed from elsewhere on the airport site. Contractors also operated concrete crushing and sifting machines there. The Trails End site immediately abuts the residential area of Melaleuca Gardens. Residents in Melaleuca Gardens have concerns about the dust and dirt emanating from the site during the time BCAD used the property. |
